I think there is a network problem between the address above and
distrowatch. Hence the 'no reply' beyond that point. Interestingly, I
cannot reach the above address from here in the UK and my path to
distrowatch is quite different.

I don't think there is much you can do about it except wait a few days
and see if it gets fixed.

You can get the results of traceroute by running sudo tracepath
www.distrowatch.com in a terminal window. I usually put the -n option in
as well so it does not do a name look up for each hop.
