Hoary, Ugly fonts in some apps...

At last, I made some step forward. I had to edit gtkrc.UTF-8 to set the
pixel size to 12 and the point size to "*" instead of the original value
of 120, and now dvdrip has the right fonts. Yet, emacs does not. I
removed every face setting from emacs configuration files, in my home
dir and in /etc/emacs, but the fonts are still the same.

Have I do "refresh" gtk1.2 some way? If so, why dvdrip already shows the
right fonts and emacs does not?

Best regards.
