One more note. Shawn has a good point if you shun Windows/Closed
source software to the point you become ignorant to the leading /
bleeding edge stuff, you could possibly deny yourself a future job
oportunity. As a LAN admin I have to contend with a range of hardware
and software, open and closed source. As much as I despise the
business practices of some closed source vendors, I would be denying
myself advancement opportunities by totally shunning them.
