Have you tried Amule or Limewire, both of these run fine on Ubuntu. You
can use apt-get for Amule, for Limewire all I did was download the RPM
version from http://www.limewire.com/english/content/downloadfree.shtml
and used alien to convert it to a deb package and installed it. Hope
this helps you out.
