Ok, here's what I did.  I actually used the actually binary file....I
know, I'm horrible.  I went to Adobe's website and downloaded the
actual binary installer.  It comes with some basic directions.  Follow
them.

Remeber what path you installed acrobat to.   You'll need this in a second.
Mine installed into /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0


To get it onto your menu Warty?  Easy.  Since you asked this, I am
assuming you are using Gnome.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
cd /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Resource/Support (or whereever you told it to)
sudo cp AdobeReader_GNOME.desktop /usr/share/applications
