Debian Bug report - #240886 module-init-tools: modprobe pass wrong ide options to insmod

Hello,
I suggest to import the debian bugs 
Bug#240734: initrd-tools tries to pass ide kernel paramaters to non
existent ide-mod module
Bug#240886: module-init-tools: modprobe pass wrong ide options to insmod

Because I got problems to setup ide-scsi which is suggested by Andy
Polyakov the Author of growisofs:

He wrotes:

"As fast-acting remedy I can suggest to route your unit through
ide-scsi. The way it was under 2.4. Even though it's declared
unsupported it actually still works in 2.6 (I for one still use it). And
once ide-cd.c is fixed you'll be able to revert back to officially
recommended path. A."

I opened a thread in ubuntuforums (See my 2nd post in that thread):

My /etc/modules :

grep ide-scsi /boot/grub/menu.lst
kernel          /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda9 ro console=tty0 quiet
splash hdc=ide-scsi
kernel          /boot/vmlinuz.old root=/dev/sda9 ro console=tty0 quiet
splash hdc=ide-scsi

With these lines I get This message at boottime (before bootlogd can
capture it):

	modprobe -k ide-mod options "hdc=ide-scsi"
	FATAL: module ide_mod not found!

This is related to initrd-tools. I will file also a bug against that
package with the suggestion to import this debian bug:
Bug#240734: initrd-tools tries to pass ide kernel paramaters to non
existent ide-mod module

Im wondering why this error message appears in Horay amd64, because
These debian bugs are rather old.
