cant install ubuntu on toshiba satellite m30

I don't have my install CD with me here at work.  It doesn't sound
like the video card is your problem though.  See if you can disable
PCMCIA during the installation, which is what is sounds like is
causing your problems.  I've also had trouble with with SCSI stuff
before, but I'm sure your laptop has an IDE based hard drive.

If anyone else has access right now to the installation CD, it would
be great if we knew how to disable the pcmcia drivers.  There is a
list of kernel options that can be passed to the installation process
when you get to the Ubuntu Splash screen.
