Ubuntu compatible Marillat repo?

Hi,

Has anyone thought about making a "custom" repository that contains
all the Marillat stuff, but compiled against Hoary so that we don't
get all the dependency issues we currently get?  I'm new to the debian
world, and have up and down work schedules, but would love to help out
if such a project was started.  I think something like this is
seriously needed for the Ubuntu commmunity.
