There is a tendency for some geeks to have all the social skills of a
rabid dog. 
Knowing this unfortunately doesn't lessen the hurt when one of them
turns on you.
One just needs to remember that the sort of people who spend every
waking hour in front of the monitor - and consequently know an awful lot
about their computers - don't have much time for sunlight, socialising
and inter-personal skills.
