It funny (or not), but this statement is so true. I once asked a
question on  Debian list a few years ago and the abuse emails I got
numbered in the hundreds. It was just a simple question on how to do
something. Not only did it make me quit the list, but it made me delete
that particular distro and try another. If I didn't believe that Linux
is such a great OS, I would have run back to windows without looking
back. This guy was just making an observation and wondering why he was
getting the results he got. Linux is not just for the die hard geeks
anymore. More and more people are trying it out and the days of flaming
newbies for simple questions is in the past. Telling people that 'google
is your friend,' will help them find answers but as a community, we
should share our knowledge so that in time the newbie will be able to
help someone else. End of sermon, LOL.
