DHCP problems

Based on what you told me I replace my inexpensive comusa router with a 
Linksys router.
Problem solved.

ive had a similar problem.. what i did was give the computer a static
ip (that was out of reasonable range for the dhcp machines) and it
worked. however, the router i'm using is a little less than friendly
with linux, but it does work.
