scilab can run on hoary

Hi 

I tried too to run scilab on breezy and it didn't work. Then I
installed the version 3.0.14 (found in  debian sid) but didn't work
under gnome... But it worked under Kde. I don't know if the 3.0.12
works (version in hoary) properly under KDE but you can try ...and
report
