There are *no* 'hostap-modules-2.6.10-5-686' (kernel hoary & my arch),
only 'hostap-modules-2.4.26-1-$ARCH', in universe!

Result of apt-get source hostap-modules-2.6.10-5-686 is
'E: Unable to find a source package for hostap-modules-2.6.10-5-686'.

And as far as I understand it these contain binary drivers and I
wouldn't need to build anything.

Universe seems to be a little behind the times with respect to
the hostap drivers.
