Hello every body. Yesterday, after losing 2 long Gentoo installations in
a couple of weeks, I installed Ubuntu 5.04 on a Celeron 500. Incredible!
I gave the set up data and went to take a walk and after 2 hours a
beautiful Ubuntu screen was on the PC, I can even play my music CDs!
Well I want to switch from my old Win98 with full web productivity
programs to linux.
I would like to run:
PowerBullet and Koolmoves, 2 great programs for Flash creation.
Namo 4.02 my old web editor because I have never seen so simple and
easy to use vector graphic utility (Namo Smart Button).
An IDE for PHP and MySQL database site design.
Those are the tools that I miss on Linux, I doubt it they have decent
replacements on Linux. I lost one of my Gento installation trying to
install Wine and run Win programs, please bear in mind that I am newbie
in Linux.
Is there a way to easy and fast install Wine that support the above
Win98 programs, and of course IExplorer, without having to read tons of
manual pages and lose a week of work?
Thank you very much for your answers
Regards
joejac
