I am trying to install Winex from CVS.
I have no prior experience of CVS, but a friend pointed me to this howto
(in French) :
http://www.stationlinux.org/fiche.21.html

So I installed the "cvs" package from Synaptic. Then I managed to
download the source code. Then the "configure" failed twice, due to a
couple packages "bison" and "flex", but once installed thse, the
configure seemed to go well, and it moved on to compiling, but failed
after a couple minutes, the last messages being :

------------------
newstruc.c: In function ‘handle_ani_list’:
newstruc.c:740: error: invalid lvalue in increment
newstruc.c: In function ‘new_ani_curico’:
newstruc.c:851: error: invalid lvalue in increment
make[2]: *** [newstruc.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/vincent/winex/tools/wrc'
make[1]: *** [wrc] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/vincent/winex/tools'
make: *** [tools] Error 2

Compilation failed, aborting install.

If anyoine has managed to install it from CVS, please help me...
There is one old (nfs2, 1997) game I like, which uses directX, that
won't run in native WinXP properly, nor in VMware, nor with the free
Wine available from SYnaptic, but it is listed as working with WineX,
but I do'nt want to pay for WineX if I can avoid it with CVS....
