drive names in nautilus

The Computer item under the Places menu (Hoary) brings up a window
containing mountable drives with unhelpful names like 12G Hard Drive. I
would prefer it to use the partition labels or the mount points to name
the drive icons. I notice that the partition labels are used for the
names of removable drives, but not for local drives (i.e. those in
/etc/fstab). Is it possible to change the names of my local drives?

Cheers,

Nick
