Heavy cpu usage writing dvds

I have the same problem...although i ve resolved the dma issue burning a
dvd consumes nearly all cpu...and it takes time:

Using an x8 nec writer for 3.9 G it takes 20+ mins when in windows it
takes about 10 (i think) and and about 10% cpu....  ](*,)  ](*,)  ](*,)
](*,)  ](*,) 

any ideas?

i use k3b to burn

kubuntu,1g ram barton 2500+,nforce 2 chipset ,ati 9600pro
