That's rather brief (unless I missed a link on the page), just two words
from an obviously highly partial writer... ;o)
He mention speed, but how does speed matters for a boot loader... I fail
to see, it's not going to take 10 minutes to load is it, so...

Yeah, I noticed that when I installed Ubuntu, and quit the
automatic/guided  mode, I was a presented with menu comprising of all
the install steps, selectable at will, and I noticed that I had an entry
"install GRUB"... "install LILO"... :o)
But, since it is not the default, I will be on my own, and won't be able
to get any help from the list, since everybody uses the default GRUB.
Well, maybe LILO is out of breath and not that good then, if the devs
chose not to use it... Let's just wait for GRUB 2, which will breath new
life into boot loaders, start from a clean sheet, and offer modern
features. I just hope it will be stable/debugged for Breezy+1, that's 12
months.. should be possible... :-)
