When is this going to happen ? I am getting bored with the blurry fonts
on Linux, I am starting to become very critical and would like as sharp
a picture as possible.
Replacing my 7 year old CRT monitor for a modern one will help a lot I
think, but I already anticipate that it still won't be sharp enough for
me.
If really the problem is Apple not playing fair with open source world
and holding a patent, then I would like to know when it will expire
exactly, or if I should give up. Can't we take legal action against this
abuse and unfair patent ??

Vince, hoping he will see sharp fonts in Linux, before he is too old to
see anything at all ! ;-/
