are mails loosing in this list?

But there are certain rules to mailman mailing lists. In particular, if
you send it from an account that isn't subscribed to the list (and that
means the From: address matches the address on record), then the mail
will be silently dropped. You won't be told; you just won't see the mail
go out.
And then if lists.ubuntu.com have any other anti-spam precautions in
place, you can fall foul of them. I know I've had e-mails to Fedora
lists be dropped because I was reconfiguring Postfix, and Postfix's idea
of its domain name didn't appear in DNS. (And I was sending through
Demon's smart host).
I don't know if that was helpful: if you can't tell why a mail was
dropped, all we can do is guess. But since you've got that e-mail to the
list, why not ask again?
