Adding an item to the Applications menu

If you take a look in /usr/share/applications, you'll see some
.desktop files which represent the menu.

See if you can copy one to meet your needs.

I've not dabbled that way myself, so good luck.

Maybe you can get a good template from the freedesktop.org site
