Hoary universe package updating problem

it's probably not your problem here, but you should probably have the
same repositories in both the archive and security lines, just in
case. Security updates to univer packages are are, but they could
happen:

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hoary main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hoary-security main restricted
universe multiverse

And a hoary-update repositoy line should probably be there as well for
the odd bug-related updates:

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/  hoary-updates  main restricted
universe multiverse
