The idea is that bugs become well known, and people find workarounds for
the ones that affect themselves. The only reason a distribution has
that's worth risking people's stable, long term systems (that is, by
introducing a new bug) is an existing bug is a potential cause of damage
to a user's system. Debian (and, apparently, ubuntu :) defines that
potential damage as 'security', and 'data loss'.

Someone who depends on their platform not changing underneath them (for
example, someone who spent 3 or 4 days downloading an iso) could find
the concept comforting.

On another subject: IANA sociologist, but, is not solving "My Box
Doesn't [...] " a direct cause of "twice a year, we promise" :)

So I see breezy has already started, and finally we have some hoary
calender updates. Hope there's no bugs :)
