Any "Compellng" reason to upgrade?

Martin,
Let's get real and don't talk rubbish. *On ALL laptops in the known
world, plugging a PS2 mouse while working with the laptop (being it a
HP, a Compaq, a Dell or an IBM, I haven't worked on any others :)),
makes it working (in Windows), while disabling (or not) the Touchpad
(or the 'finger').*
Unplugging the PS2 mouse should revert to the "other built-in pointing"
device of the laptop.

Please read the instruction manual of ANY laptop.
Disconnectiong/connecting a PS/2 mouse or secindary external keyboard
will NOT harm your hardware.

Of course, PS/2 *is NOT* USB *and is NOT* PCMCIA, it's not "hot
pluggable", *however laptops are designed to be able to connect an
external PS/2 mouse "while hot" (i.e. running).*
