jfs volume fails to automount

Hey guys!

I have an usb2 drive formatted with jfs, and when i connect it its not
automatically mounted.

the volume is detected by the kernel:

and the jfs module is loaded:
chris at chi:/media$ lsmod | grep jfs
jfs                   184960  0

anyone have a clue?
