OpenOffice.org2 and Spanish Keyboard

I am testing the openoffice.org2 suite, but it doesn't work well for me.
The problem is that it doesn't allow me to use special characters, as
accented vowels {á,é,í,ó,ú,ü} or the ñ. They are correctly written on
documents when cut&pasted, but I cannot type them on the keyboard.
Any misconfiguration I have done?
