Are you guys using this on x86 machines or PPC? This is one of the few
that is reported to work with an Apple iBook and I was hoping to drag
my iBook into the computer store tomorrow and try and befriend a
salesman to let me try out a few adapters.
For the record, through all my searching I've only found three cards
that "may" work with a newer iBook:
D-Link DWL-122
Linksys WUSB11 (but only revision 2.5)
Linksys WUSB12
Actually, there were a few more, but these were the only brands easily
accessible in my area. I'd love to hear about it if someone writes a
HOWTO for Ubuntu and linux-wlan-ng.
The county I live in has promised free wifi across the whole county by
the end of 2005. It may be slow (to keep the broadband companies
happy), but it'll be nice to be able to sit down and work at all just
about anywhere! :o) I REALLY want Ubuntu on this iBook! :o)
