Synaptic in Hoary

You can to customize your system:
   1) right click on toolBar (top line in UBUNTU),
   2) select the "Add to panel" command and select "Drawer",
   3) Expand new "Drawer" and right click on it,
   4) Select "Custom Application Launcher" and the synaptic launching (command 
/usr/sbin/synaptic in my case)
   5) repeat step 4 with all your favorite applications.
