Hoary won't shutdown my laptop (Warty could do it with no problem)

Hi all

WOW WOW WOW! I just installed Hoary on my system and it's damn lovely. 
Wireless up. Everything up. However it do not shutdown my laptop properly 
anymore.

I even tried

sudo shutdown -P now

and it does not turn the power off.

Any ideas?
