Hi Norman,
tried right clicking desktop icon first, which is why I went to
terminal. Eventually shutdown machine, as I needed to access
another floppy.
Thanks everyone ,and thanks to everyone involved in getting
Ubuntu up and running. Haven't tried Hoary yet, but if it's as
good as Warty, "Well done". Happy Birthday with not too many
self inflicted headaches :-)
