installing full ubuntu system after choosing "custom"

well, that was my initial plan, because they're running low-end
computers.  But the truth is this as a VERY inexperienced group of
users and I'm a little worried about confusing them.  I figure I'll
tell them what a window manager is, introduce them to GNOME, and maybe
show one or two of them how much more streamlined icewm or xfce4 is.  

at least for now.
