Backuppc uninstall problem

But is it good to have extra users that are never used?

Also, I did not remove the home directory for the backuppc user, 
however i did remove the user entry from the Users and Groups control 
panel.
Are there any special settings I might have to set to get it to work 
again?

Oh, and I'll be trying to re-add the user tonight and see if it works.  
I'm in school right now, so I can't try this out.
