These are just for nVidia and ATI cards, not Intel. The only thing I
can think of about your resolution problems is to put this in your
/etc/X11/xorg.conf, in the Monitor section:
HorizSync 36-52
VertRefresh 36-75
and that should get rid of most of the problem, if not actually properly
solve it.
