xserver-xorg breaks nvidia?

no, i am. what happens is, nvidia-glx is installed and working great. 
then an update for xorg comes out, and gets installed. next time teh 
xserver is restarted (reboot, logout, whatever), there is a mismatch 
between the nvidia driver and xorg. basically, the nvidia driver was 
"setup" for one xorg, adn now a newer one is in there.
