Ubuntu and Bluetooth

Hi, guys. I have a couple of questions about Bluetooth, specifically on
Ubuntu Hoary.

I have a Dell Insiron 6000 with integrated Bluetooth. On bootup, the
Ubuntu kernel loads the Bluetooth drivers (some of them) and I believe
it detects the Bluetooth device. I have the bluez package from Ubuntu
installed.

However, in order to use a Bluetooth mouse, I have to do two things:
load the hidp module and run the hidd daemon. So, my questions:

Should the hidp module be loaded automatically? I know I can add it to
/etc/modules, but should I have to? Is there a udev rule or something
that should be loading this automatically? If someone can tell me what I
can provide (logs, USB devices, PCI devices, etc.) I'll be glad to
provide info so this can be more automatic.

Should the hidd daemon be started automatically? Is the recommended way
of doing this just to update the /etc/defaults/bluez-utils directory?
There doesn't seem to be any way to use debconf to set this up.

I'm not averse to just manually making changes to my system. I just like
to do things the "Ubuntu way" to make sure that I take advantage of the
great updates that Ubuntu has.

Thanks
Jeff
