old madwifi drivers vs. DWL-G650 HW:B5

Hi folks,

I just bought a D-Link DWL-G650, hardware revision B5. The madwifi drivers
for the Atheros chipset shipped with the Hoary preview do not support this
hardware revision (yes, I've verified this is the problem. The modules
give a HAL error code of 13, which indicates an unsupported hardware
revision.)

I have reason to believe that more recent versions of the madwifi drivers
may support this chipset. My questions are:

a) Is the released version of Hoary going to contain the latest madwifi
drivers? or,
b) Is there an unstable/devel version of Ubuntu with the latest drivers? or,
c) Is there anywhere I can get a package containing binaries of the
drivers _compatible with the stock Hoary kernel_? or,
d) Can someone give me a tarball of the Hoary kernel sources EXACTLY AS
THEY ARE CONFIGURED FOR THE STOCK HOARY KERNEL (so I can compile the
drivers myself), or
e) Should I just return the card, and if so
f) Does anyone know of a cheap, widely available 802.11g PC card with WPA
that is supported out-of-box by Ubuntu?

Thanks,

- Avdi
