Hoary:MythTV's TV output has distorted colors

I couldn't get through the configuration screens (it just kept 
returning to the same spot).  When I rebooted, gdm 
started, but I never got a login prompt on a virtual console, so I 
removed mythtv.

xawtv seems to work for me, but I can't get any sound (pchdtv-3000 
card).
