hi. i'm having some network connectivity problems. we have cable
internet at my house, and up until a few days ago, it worked great.
now, i keep getting problems resolving domain names (it takes up to
two or three minutes to resolve a name - if it resolves at all).
coincendentally, whenever i try to reboot/shutdown, it hangs on
killing named for about 3 or 4 minutes, then returns an error about
namedrndc or something (can't remember exaclty right now). my router
says that my machine is connected to the network, and all of the other
computers (all running windows) have no problem connecting at all.
i've tried for two days to solve this problem, and now i'm turning for
help. any advice?
