Hi Paul,

The file is 8.4MB in size and I am not e-mails can cope with that big a
file. Plus, although I do have broadband, the UPload bandwidth is very
much dial-up like.... :-/

It is the manual of a Samsung CRT monitor, you can find it here :

http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc/product/b2c_product_detail.jsp?prod_id=CA17ISBU

there is a link on the right of the page to download the Manual. I
pinched the English version, but I guess all the other files/languages
have the same problem.

To answer Philipe and Daniel :

Xpdf, Gpdf and Evince all show exactly the same problem, both i nWart
and Hoary. But I tired another big and complex file (500 pages, dozens
of sections and sub section) and oh miracle, it works perfectly, sweet
as chocolate.
So it's like the problem only shows with the Samsung manual, just bad
luck then I guess. Maybe Samsung should think of using Ubuntu to create
their PDF manuals !!! ;o)
