usb drive auto-detection & mounting lost in Hoary update

I noticed that USB key auto detection worked fine in the Hoary-Array6
download, however I happened to reinstall on the same hardware with the
Hoary-CurrentPreview and it has stopped working.

Leaving the key in hasn't seemed to work for me either - but am
currently installing all updates and hoping that its been fixed.
