Docking and Undocking

Hello,

I don't expect an answer, as I did some Google searches without
finding anything, but has anyone out there been able to get a laptop
to sleep or hibernate or whatever while docked, undock, and resume
work where you were?

To do this you need Ubuntu to recognize upon waking up that the
keyboard, mouse, display, maybe other hardware like serial ports, etc
have changed.

Today I can only shutdown and restart to have things working when
changing from docked to undocked or vice-versa.
