Can't install on VMWare?

Are there known issues installing Ubuntu on VMWare?

I have VMWare 4.0.0 build-4460 and when I try to install the Warty ISO
it goes just past getting an IP address, then the entire VMWare session
locks up hard and I have to whack it.
