An answer for those who enjoy exploring on their own:

Ubuntu's package repository (http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ for
example) is very like a Debian repository.  There are three sections,
each with their own Packages.*: main, restricted, and universe, or you
can point apt at them and use your favorite tool to browse (being
careful not to confuse the host system, of course).
