Can remote users control the scanner(s) too?

It means that the console user will also be able to access the scanner when
they log in remotely, because the first user is added to these groups during
installation. Users who are added "by hand" will not have access to these
groups by default.

Either the user should be a member of the group, or not. Since there is no
way to securely revoke the privilege once it is granted, it doesn't make
sense to dynamically grant group priveleges and then remove them.
