Switch between two sound cards and Logitech USB headset

Hi,

Two questions:

1. How do I switch between two sound cards ? 

Is it possible to switch the output to one soundcard and keep the input (mic)
from the other ?

2. Gnome Sound Recorder crashes when recording from a Logitech USB
headset. Is this a bug ? Or is Ubuntu simply not compatible with
Logitech headsets ?
