Installing Ubuntu - 3c59x-prblem

Dear friends,
I am just doing my first install of Ubuntu. Downloaded the warty.iso,  
burned it and put the CD into the drive. After bootinmg anything goes fine  
(Adaptec 2949 autodetected, DHCP-configuration seems ok). After first  
reboot the problem:
	pci.agent Segmentation fault
	3c59x can't be loaded
	missing kernel or usermodedriver 3c59x

Any ideas?! TIA, Ingo.
