You can download reaplayer10 or helixplayer from
https://player.helixcommunity.org/2004/downloads/
neither of them are compiled with esd support (the GNOME sound
server), but you'll be able to use them with good old OSS.

Use 'chmod 755' on the .bin installer, and then run it.
I personally unpacked realplayer10 in /usr/local/

You could also use alien to convert the .rpm into a .deb.
