Install Ubuntu Warti on a Dell Inspiron 8000

I've installed the latest 2.6 kernel for i686 (using the meta package),
but it seems to still freeze.
I've only tried to boot once, removing both options in the right
menu.lst entry (without running "update-grub" ;)

What would you like me to test ?
