Wireless Network Control Application

Just thought I'd let anyone else out there who has a wireless network
card, that the program Wi-fi Radar is really good for managing Wi-fi
Profiles. As opposed to the default Networking program under Computer-
>System Configuration, it allows you to enter the ESSID and Encryption
Key if any. It lets you store multiple profiles, and is a small python
script. You need to make a few small changes to the script (with a text
editor). These are entering the correct network device (eg. eth0, eth1)
for your wireless card, and to tell it the name of the ubuntu
dhcpclient: dhclient (not dhcpd). Otherwise it works excellently...
As a general question why can't you enter the ESSID or encryption key in
the bundled network configuration utility? I think it would be
worthwhile adding this program to the ubuntu distro as it is very small
and gets the job done... Or I guess they could always fix the in built
one...
Just my two cents anyways
