Skype is not free software

It seems to be free (as in bear) but not Open Source. Discussions as to wether software is 'free' need to define wether they means the geek version of free or the common usage.

ah, you have misunderstood the use of the word free here. The previous
poster meant free as in freedom. the following links might help you see
the subtule difference that can lead to flamewars ;-)

understand concept of open source software.
